About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sale El Sol Counseling website (the "Site") and any related services offered through it. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Sale El Sol Counseling.

By using this Site or engaging my counseling services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor seeking services.

Who I Am

Sale El Sol Counseling provides professional mental health counseling services. I am a licensed clinician bound by state licensing regulations, professional ethics codes, and applicable federal and state laws governing mental health practice.

Information contained on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. No therapist-client relationship is established by visiting this site alone.

Not an Emergency Service

This website and my services are not equipped to respond to mental health emergencies. If you are experiencing a crisis, are in danger of harming yourself or others, or need immediate assistance, please contact emergency services right away.

Scope of Services

Sale El Sol Counseling offers individual, couples, and/or family counseling services, subject to clinician availability and scope of practice. Services may include:

  • Individual psychotherapy and counseling

  • Group Counseling

  • Couples or relationship counseling

  • Consultation and psychoeducation

  • Telehealth (video and/or phone) sessions

Beginning a consultation does not guarantee the initiation of ongoing services. I reserve the right to refer clients to other providers when clinically appropriate.

Telehealth Services

By engaging in telehealth services with Sale El Sol Counseling, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You are physically located in a state where I am licensed to practice during all telehealth sessions.

  • You understand that telehealth has inherent limitations compared to in-person care, including technology risks and reduced ability to assess non-verbal cues.

  • You are responsible for ensuring a private, secure environment for your sessions.

Sessions conducted over third-party platforms (such as video conferencing software) are subject to those platforms' own terms and privacy policies.

A note on technology: In the event of a technology disruption during a session, I will contact you via the phone number on file to resume or reschedule.

Fees & Payment

Fees for services are outlined at the time of scheduling and/or in your intake documentation. By scheduling services, you agree to pay all applicable fees.

Insurance: I do not accept insurance at this time.

Self-pay: A self-pay rate is available. Please inquire about sliding scale availability at the time of intake.

Payment timing: Payment is due at 1:00 AM CDT the morning of the service date unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Outstanding balances: Unpaid balances may result in suspension of services until resolved.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your privacy is fundamental to the therapeutic relationship. Sale El Sol Counseling complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all applicable state privacy laws governing the protection of protected health information (PHI).

My full Privacy Policy, which details how your information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed, is available separately on this website. By using my services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed my Privacy Policy.

Confidentiality has legally defined exceptions, including situations involving imminent risk of harm to self or others, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, and certain court orders. These will be explained in full during your intake process.

Website Use

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its related systems

  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful information through any contact forms

  • Use the Site to harass, threaten, or harm any individual

  • Reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from this Site without prior written permission

I reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the Site for any user who violates these Terms.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and downloadable materials — is the property of Sale El Sol Counseling or its content providers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and download content from this Site for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use requires express written permission from Sale El Sol Counseling.

Sale El Sol Counseling's website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied. I do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sale El Sol Counseling shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — this Site or its content.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or where limitation of liability is prohibited by applicable law.
